I'm thankful that I got to watch the 4th season of House of Cards. If you've not watched it and you have Netflix, please treat yourself to a great series. I love this show! I'm thankful that we had lots of rain this week. We had a dry spell where spring showed up for several weeks. It's good to get back to the wet weather for a bit.
I'm thankful that hubby got through a couple of rough spots this last couple of weeks. He lost his sister one week and then the day after she was buried her daughter died. It's been very trying to say the least. They were both ill for a long time, but you never quite prepare for someone's death.
I'm thankful that hubbies mother turned 96 this past Tuesday. She's frail and tired. We helped her celebrate her birthday. On Wednesday evening she was admitted to the hospital. Prognosis is not good. It's as if she's given up since her daughter died. We've not told her that her granddaughter has died as we're afraid it will be too much for her. The cruise we had planned for this weekend has been cancelled. Life happens when you plan for other things.
