Anyone that has traveled up or down Interstate 5 can attest to how long and lonely much of that trip can be. We'll have each other for company so that will help some. We'll also stop somewhere for a quick lunch and then get back on the road.
The bittersweet part of this is we wouldn't be going at all if our Little Bit was still with us. We never boarded her and if we had to go somewhere we had someone house sit so she would be at home. We know she stayed with us as long as she could, but that doesn't mean we won't be thinking of her often while we're gone.
We're planning on a fun trip with like-minded boating folks. All the folks that we'll be dealing with in IOBG are past commodores of various clubs around the world. Each bringing their part of the world to the table, and that's the very best part.
